Oregon BottleDrop Program
When you recycle your bottles and cans you can donate the proceeds to OHRA!
Learn More About Donating With BottleDrop
There are two ways to use your recycling dollars:
- Come by the OHRA Center at 2350 Ashland St. M-F 9-2 and pick up a blue bag. Fill it up with bottles and cans, and take it to your nearest BottleDrop location. That’s it! The blue bags already have OHRA’s ID sticker on them and all the money earned will go to OHRA. Click here to learn more about blue bag fundraisers with BottleDrop Give.
- Use your regular green bags to collect your recyclables. Once the money hits your BottleDrop account, use the phone app or go online to donate some or all of your BottleDrop account balance to participating nonprofit organizations like OHRA. Learn More About Shira Chertoff Memorial Fund
Remembering Shira Rose Chertoff
Shira was a fierce advocate and friend of the homeless. She was a resident of Ashland, Oregon, and a longtime volunteer at OHRA, which supports the unhoused and others struggling with economic instability. At the beginning of Covid, Shira became a full-time staff member at OHRA – a dream come true for her. She treated everyone with dignity, grace, and humor, engendering trust and lifting spirits as she provided every resource available to those in need.
To honor Shira’s memory and the work that was so important to her, please consider making a contribution to OHRA. Your donation will help carry her work – and her life – forward.

- July 26 – June ’27 Fundraising Goal 10%
OHRA relies on your donations to support the evolving needs of our community. This year you support could make a substantial impact to three strategic initiatives: 1) infrastructure & support for Ashland’s Night Lawn; 2) creating paid employment opportunities for unhoused guests; and, capital projects and partnership to increase housing opportunities.
Contact Brandy or Dan if you’d like to schedule a meeting to discuss how your investment could have a sustaining impact on the community.
