Dan's Bio
Dan has more than 10 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and advocacy, with a strong focus on supporting vulnerable populations. Prior to his recent move to Ashland, he served as the vocational services director for Transitions-Mental Health Association in San Luis Obispo, California, where he led strategic business and budget planning for three social enterprise businesses employing more than 100 individuals facing challenges impacted by mental health and homelessness.
Previously, Dan was the executive director of Central Coast LINK, a Family Resource Center supporting at-risk children, youth and families. He has also served as an administrative services officer for the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department, a program manager for the San Luis Obispo Food Bank, and a grant writer for the Mixteco Indigenous Community Organizing Project (MICOP).
Dan, who holds both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Business Administration, began his career by founding his own business in the tile manufacturing and distribution industry before finding his passion the nonprofit field. He moved to Ashland to be closer to his two daughters, the youngest of whom is a freshman at the University of Oregon.
