Overall, the chance to be a part of something bigger than myself was an experience that I would cherish and remember forever. I will reflect on my days at the OHRA when I need to remember what it means to help others and do something for the community.
In-Person Volunteer Opportunities
OHRA is seeking volunteers to carry Coffee & Friends forward. Volunteers work in pairs on Tuesday or Thursday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., brewing coffee, serving breakfast treats, and creating a welcoming space.
Coffee & Friends Treat Provider
For those who aren’t able to volunteer on-site each week, there is also an opportunity to support Coffee & Friends by regularly baking or purchasing breakfast treats to share with our guests.
Mail Service Volunteers
Spend 1–3 hours each week helping keep one of OHRA’s most essential services running smoothly. Mail Services Volunteers work in the front office of the Resource Center, sorting mail and packages for guests who rely on OHRA as their mailing address.
OHRA Corps
This is a new volunteer leadership group dedicated to improving shared public spaces throughout Ashland through hands-on community service. Inspired by the success of OHRA’s annual Neighborhood Clean-up, this team brings together volunteers who are passionate about caring for the places we all use and enjoy
If you are interested in the opportunites above or have questions, email julieg@ohrahelps.org. By clicking the link below, you will fill out an easy application! All volunteers must undergo a background check and training prior to volunteering. We look forward to hearing from you!

- July 26 – June ’27 Fundraising Goal 10%
OHRA relies on your donations to support the evolving needs of our community. This year you support could make a substantial impact to three strategic initiatives: 1) infrastructure & support for Ashland’s Night Lawn; 2) creating paid employment opportunities for unhoused guests; and, capital projects and partnership to increase housing opportunities.
Contact Brandy or Dan if you’d like to schedule a meeting to discuss how your investment could have a sustaining impact on the community.
