Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

DEI at OHRA

OHRA is thrilled to have embarked on the celebration of welcoming DEI into our daily lives and work.

Through embracing DEI and striving to meet every challenge through a lens that honors everyone, it has both opened our hearts and strengthened our hands to meet the needs of our community and grow both as individuals and as an organization.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Our journey started in 2017 when we defined “respect for all people” as a key value.

In 2020, we adopted a clear and specific DEI Policy

We, now, in 2022, have our very own DEI Task force to help keep us accountable, transparent, and growing in the right ways and directions.

We recognize that we, at OHRA are also works in progress but we are committed to welcoming and inviting all who have needs and all who can join us in helping meet the needs of our guests.

We believe actions often speak louder than words, but also want our stance on DEI to be clear for everyone.

If you would like to read our current DEI statement:

Here is a summary of some of the ongoing work in DEI we have already started:

Finding funding to have our whole website professionally translated into Spanish

Making the OHRA Center accessible to people with disabilities through things like installing an elevator and ADA accessible bathrooms
